James E. Long, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has served in this capacity since the Firm’s inception in 1997. Previously, Mr. Long held executive positions in Illinois government and in nongovernmental organizations. He served as the Director of the Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (DASA) under Governor Jim Edgar from 1992-1994. Prior to his time in the Edgar Administration, Mr. Long was the Executive Director of the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association (IADDA) from 1982-1991. Prior to joining IADDA, Mr. Long served as a Deputy Director of the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services and as a top executive in the Governor’s Office of Manpower and Human Development.
In addition to his duties as CFO, Mr. Long has owned and operated a Molly Maid residential cleaning franchise since 1995. He has earned numerous recognitions from Molly Maid corporate and served on the Franchise Advisory Council, representing fellow franchisees from the Midwest region. He has also served one term as an elected member of the Kirby School District 140 School Board.
Mr. Long earned a B.A. in Economics from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois and a M.A. in Labor Economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia. With his diverse background and experience, Mr. Long is available to advise the Firm’s clients on business and public policy issues.
